The University of Alberta Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry Dean Dr. Richard Fedorak died peacefully on Nov. 8. His family is asking for donations to the University of Alberta through the Dr. Richard Fedorak Memorial Fund. Among his many accomplishments, Dr. Fedorak co-founded UAlberta spin-off company Metabolomic Technologies Inc., which created the non-invasive test to detect pre-cancerous polyps PolypDX. The University of Alberta will host a public celebration of life with details to come in the following weeks.
John Lewis gave a presentation on his University of Alberta spin-off company Nanostics to Falling Walls Venture in Berlin this week.
The Health Quality Council of Alberta appointed board members including Mohammad Masood Peracha, Shirley Kine and Sandy (Sandi) Nadine Kossey. Dr. Trevor W. Theman was appointed as a board member and chairman.
